“No one left behind — not then, not now.”

Bright Light was the code word used by MACV-SOG for dangerous, deep-behind-lines recovery missions — the kind launched when one of their own or American pilots went missing in Vietnam, Laos, or Cambodia. Those missions embodied a promise that echoes across generations: every warrior deserves a path home.

Task Force Garrison is reigniting that promise. Under Bright Light Continuum, we are assisting in the locating and accounting for America’s Missing in Action (MIA) across Southeast Asia — not only those from SOG, but from every branch that fought in the region.

Today, the reality remains stark:

• Vietnam: 1,235 unaccounted for
• Laos: 283 unaccounted for
• Cambodia: 48 unaccounted for

That’s 1,566 Americans still missing — sons, fathers, and brothers who never made it home.

To confront this, we are joining forces with our friends at the Retired Investigators Guild (RIG), a 501(c)(3) organization comprised of veteran homicide investigators. Their depth of experience and investigative discipline brings professional rigor to the mission — asking the right questions, following the faintest trails, and uncovering truths long buried.

This isn’t symbolic. It’s operational.

We are building a professional, coordinated effort to seek answers, recover remains, and restore honor where time and politics have failed to do so.

We’ve heard the stories. We’ve seen the neglect.
Now it’s time to move — to return the fallen, one by one.
